It seems to work great. We haven't been through a winter here yet, so I can't report how well it will work with all the snow and such.So far, it's very cool !
Ribbed design has a drawbackMar 29, 2010
I just installed the ribbed version of g-floor.
My first surprise was that it is really squeaky to walk on.
Walking barefoot on it is almost as bad as walking on gravel.
So, if you get down on your hands and knees to work on your car,
you should choose a different pattern or it will be painful!
I wish now that I'd chosen the diamond or circle pattern.
I am also concerned about where it ends at the wall and cabinet by the garage door -
I will have to use a wet-dry vac or blower in these corners when cleaning the floor,
to get the dirt or water out that doesn't roll right out the garage door.
I am currently concerned about the edge at the garage door lying down. I may have to glue it.
I put weight on it and ran a heater in the garage to over 80 degrees for about 35 hours and it hasn't seemed to help. I also ran the heater for 24 hours to help soften the stuff up before I layed it down and trimmed it.
I had to trim some cabinet doors first so as to fit this stuff underneath it.
I put this flooring down first and then I glued a 4"-tall black rubber base around the walls to prevent water splash to the wall when I wash this floor.
I ordered this from Menards. It was less expensive than any of the on-line stores.
Delivery was also free - it was delivered within 3 days too!
I also called the manufacturer and was immediately helped.

Clean and protected Garage FloorJul 29, 2009
The weather conditions; snow, salt and temperature variations took its toll on my epoxy floor. After a couple of years peeling and flaking made the floor unsightly.
The G-Floor covering installed quickly without much trouble, can certainly be done by 1 person but an extra set of hands helpful.
The ribbed design has it's pro's and con's. Sweeping the mess out of the garage is a snap however the use of a dustpan inside difficult because of the rib pattern.
The standard weight .5 mil is heavy duty and the mat stays in place without being affixed to the floor with glue or adhesive. The mat does not move with the cars going in and out. The floor will expand and contract (a small bit) with the temperature change so if you decide to install wall to wall, leave a bit of a small gap against the wall if installing this when it is cool. A single edge utility knife works well trimming the mats, naturally using a straight edge.
The mats are delivered on a roll and are quite heavy to move but not a huge chore, again another person helping is advised. The roll weighs over 100 lbs so be advised. If possible I would allow the mats to stay on the floor for a day or 2 to relax but that will just save you the time of having to trim the edges more than once.
The floor has held up quite well simple to clean in the garage with a hose or bucket and mop. Tire tracks clean up simply but you will see some small indentations from the weight of the tires, not a big deal or unsightly.
If you are looking for a way to protect your concrete floor, make your garage look neat and is easy to clean up, the mats are a simpler alternative to laying tile or the work it takes to coat the concrete with epoxy. I found the mats to be the best alternative for my application and would recommend it. A note about the color, I opted for the slate gray that is actually quite dark but I knew that having received a sample in the mail. The darker color, just like on a car does show dirt more quickly but dirt is dirt and keeping it clean a minor issue.
I hope this helps and saves time for those who unlike me are willing to spend more time than a sane person would doing the research.
